CONFIDENCE CRIB SHEET *
Bravado. You need guts to do this. Big deep breath moment. Summon your bravado up like Hermione demanding Leviosa!
Back yourself in that moment - as Boy George says before trying out new material at a gig. Value your own work. A bit of self love here like a pat on the back.
PREP - make sure you do your due diligence - It’s all about
THE PREP! Dig around for intel as if your life depends on it - do your research. Prepare your scripts and know where everything is.Declutter - simplify your pieces and your key points. Get rid of nervy noise and negative vibes - that other voice in your head, that internal judge …do something that clears your mind; exercise or listen to your favourite music on your headphones or BOTH!
Dial up your persona - like a favourite jacket, slip into your personal branding (the best bits of you, your individual spin).
Visualise the space - go to where you’ll be speaking from and rehearse rehearse rehearse!
Victory Parade - metaphorically flick through your personal photo album of top work achievements in your head…great highlight moments when the accolades came in and that reckoning moment of super confidence. Draw on that. Read through testimonials, rerun compliments in your head.
Use the audience - live audience, faces in front of you in the room…get them clapping and interacting. Use that positive energy in the room.
Use positive people in your team to help you warm up, power up and layer up your confidence.
